It was ruled by female castle owner Ii Naotora until Ii Naomasa was defeated.
[Description]
Iinoya Castle is a mountain castle located in Inasa Mountain, North District, Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Province.The correct castle built year is unsure, but it is said that the castle was built by [Fujihara Tomoyasu].
After that, the castle name was changed to [Mr. Ii]. Engen 1 year (1337), the master of Mr. Ii [Ii Michimasa] renovated it to the castle scale. When entering the South and North dynasties, [Kouno Moroyasu] and [Nikki Yoshinaga] from the North being attacked and lost the castle.
After that being suffered continuous difficulties, Eiroku 3 year (1560), the master [Ii Naomori] died at the Battle of Okebazama, and his adopted son [Naochika] was murdered by [Ono Michiyoshi], who was the vassal of Imagawa Ujizane.
Naochika’s eldest son [Naomasa] was too young to be the master of Mr. Ii. As a result, Naomori’s daughter was named [Naotora] and became the female castle owner. However, Iinoya Castlewas hijacked by Mr Imagawa, and Naotora depended on Tokugawa Ieyasu and aimed to recapture Iinoya Castle.
However, the castle was attacked again by Takeda Shingen. Genki 4 year (1573), Shingen attacked Totomi•Mikawa and he died on the way to Kyoto.
After Shingen died Naotora recaptured Iinoya Castle. After that, she returned the master’s title back to Naomasa after he grown up. Naomasa was found by Tokugawa Ieyasu and he won several military awards, and finally he became one of the [Tokugawa four important subordinates].
Iinoya Castle was abandoned when Tokugawa Ieyasu moved to Kanto. [Iinoya Castle Ruin Castle Mountain Garden] is built on the current castle ruins and Honmaru and soil base are left.
