[Description]
Outa Castle (Maizuru Castle) is a flatland castle located in Nakajyo Town, Hitachiouta City, Ibaraki Province. It is well known as one of the seven famous castles in Kanto.
The castle built year is unsure, but it is considered that it was built by Fujihawa in Tennin 2 year (1109).
After that, the grandson of Shinra Saburo Yoshimitsu (Minamoto Yoshimitsu) gave Outago township as a prize. The castle owner of Outa Castle moved his territory to Onogo.
It was the base of Mr. Satakeshi for generations during Sengoku Era. When [Toshinori], the son of Satakeshi Toshishige, united Hitachi Country, he moved his residence to Mito Castle. Keicho 5 year (1600), his title was removed by Tokugawa Ieyasu and Kubota Castle was also transferred to someone else.
After that, it was one of the residences of Mr. Tokugawa and he ruled the castle untile the end of Shogun. In addition, he built Jinya around this area to rule the place.
Nowadays, a part of the Outa Castle ruins is Outa Primary School. The castle remainings has almost nothing left, and [Maizuru Castle Monument] is built.
