In the 8th year of the Tensho period (1580), Hashiba Hideyoshi started Tajima Conquest. Suketoyo fought for Mori Terumoto, but he was defeated and the Yamana family in Tajima Province got extinct.

Hideyoshi sent a temporally head to Arikoyama. In the 13th year of the Tensho period (1585), he gave it to Maeno Nagayasu. Next, Koide Yoshimasa became the head. The western army was defeated, but the Koide family avoid a punishment because Hideie was in the eastern army. In the 9th year of the Keicho period (1604), Koide Yoshihide destroyed the castle tower of Arikoyama Castle. He renamed his residence at the foot of the mountain Izushi Castle and applied it to the shogunate.

Then, Izushi Castle became the sole castle in Tajima Province because the shogunate allowed each domain to have only one castle. The Koide family developed the castle town and established Izushi Domain. However, in the 9th year of the Genroku period (1696), Koide Fusatsugu died in his childhood. The Koide family no longer had any heir and deprived of their feudal estate and status.
