Konishi Yukinaga and Mr. Sou fought at the Battle of Korea.
[Description]
Kaneishi Castle is Mr. Sou’s castle located in Izuhara Town, Tsushima City, Nagasaki Province. It is also called Izuhara Castle. Kyoroku 1 year (1528), Sou Masamori started building Kinseki Pavilon.
Mr. Shoni served as a guardian in Tsushima, but when Mr. Shoni left Mr. Sou got this position. When entering Sengoku Era, he planned to enter Kyushu several times but was blocked by Mr. Mouri, Mr. Shimazu, Mr. Outomo, Mr. Ryuzoji.
In order to welcome communicator of Korea in [the Battle Bunroku•Keicho], Kinseki Pavilion was renovated and stones and moats were built but Tenshu was not built. That is the current Kinseki Castle.
[Sou Yoshitoshi] followed Konishi Yukinaga’s army and gained a few military awards. He belonged to the West Army (Ishida Mitsunari) at the Battle of Sekigahara in 1600, and made a trade with Mr. Sou who had Korea.
Kanbun 5 year (1665) the castle was renovated and expanded. Kanbun 9 year (1669), Sou Yoshizane built Tenshu.
Yoshizane did not discontinue until Meiji Restoration and Mr. Sou was continued. After restoration the family became rich. The current castle ruins have been considered as the historic site.
